Once we accepted
Once we were sheep
Once we believed
That oppression
Was our lot
And that the Holy One
Would save us from
Their hands
But He Didn’t
We fell into their hands
We were not saved!
We were decimated
Half of us
Because of the PROMISE
The guarantee
That He Would Save Us
From their hand.
And we realized
That only
We
Could Save Ourselves
And WAITING
Was futile
And the sheep
And the believers
Transformed themselves
Into tigers
Into wild animals
With sharpened claws
And teeth.
Protecting their young
At all costs
Protecting their rightful
Den with the ferocity
Of a leopard under attack
That suffering
“one Little goat”
Once butchered
While waiting
For the promise
Leaped now
In self promise
And learned the real
TRUTH
That in every generation
They would try to extinguish Us
But that
WAITING
For Promises of
Of Redemption
Is self deception
Jewish SELF Power Only
Redeems Us
From their hand.
Perhaps
That’s the lesson
That HE meant to teach
“For Whoever Treasures
Freedom
Must learn to Fly”
