The rebirth of the nation of Israel is unique among all the nations as far as history is concern. The entire nation was destroyed on two occasions. Amazingly, they come back into existence after each devastation and most of the time they are taken captives into strange lands. Yet these people survive and always returned to their land.
King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon destroyed Jerusalem, Solomon Temple and the entire nation in the year 586 BC and all the Hebrew children were taken captives to Babylon, and most of the times if a nation is taken captives, they usually lost their history. But not the Hebrew Children. They returned to rebuild their nation after seventy years. This took place 2,540 years ago. Nations like Jebusites, Hittites, Hivites, Perizzites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites and the Philistines who where around with the Jewish people had disappeared. But not the Jewish people. Israel had outlived all of them.
The Romans also destroyed their nation, the city of Jerusalem and their Temple 650 years later in 70 AD. The Jews revolt against Rome in 136 AD and they were totally defeated and scattered across the globe, very few Jews remained on the land after the war with Rome. This also took place some 1900 years ago. Israel should had been lost or ceased to be a nation in 70 AD but they survived. The nation of Israel was literally reborn.
Israel became a nation on 14th May 1948 after nearly ceasing to be a nation for 1878 years. Jerusalem was once again became the unified capital of Israel. When David first made Jerusalem the capital of Israel, there was no United Nations, there was no United States, there was no Russia, or no European Union. All these lands were swamp lands when King David made Jerusalem the capital of Israel. Its so unfortunate that some are challenging the right of the Jews to occupy a unified Jerusalem. In the year 1492 before America was discovered, the Spanish Queen Isabella and King Ferinand issued an edict of ejection for the Jews to leave Spain or face execution so Jewish businessmen went to Christopher Columbus an Italian Jew and purchased the ship and financed his journey in search for a land that would become America for the Jews.TO BE CONTINUED…………….
