Make sure to pack sunscreen! For being such a small country, Israel has an impressive number of spectacular beaches. With the Mediterranean Sea, the Dead Sea, and the Red Sea on Israel’s borders, there is quite a selection to choose from. Tel Aviv is famous for its long stretch of beaches lined with restaurants, hotels, and shops. Coral Reef Beach in Eilat is fantastic for snorkeling. The Dead Sea’s Mineral Beach is the perfect place to treat your skin to some natural mineral therapy. There is a different style beach to fit anyone’s needs!

If you are lucky, you may even spot a pod of dolphins! For those who are scuba certified, Eilat is an ideal spot for diving and there is an abundance of dive sites for everyone from beginners to experts.

People come from all over the world to soak in the healing waters of the Dead Sea. The mineral rich salt water is renowned for its healing properties and is hailed for its power to treat chronic conditions such as psoriasis and asthma. The high salt content provides buoyancy that will cause you to float effortlessly.

Kayak on the Jordan River

Whether you are looking for an adrenaline rush or a tranquil float, there is a route for everyone. The Jordan River offers a variety of routes that range from white rapids to calm, peaceful water.

Israel can be a hiker’s dream with various trails throughout the country. However, it is important for adventurists to remember to stay off the trails during the peak heat of the day. Get an early start and hike in the cool of the morning. And bring plenty of water!

As you can see there is no end to the ways you can enjoy Israel in the Summer, so grab your beach towel, put on your hiking shoes and enjoy the beauty that this country has to offer!
