Michael Shine – ‘What Happens During Wars?
Many people, including some world leaders, are trying to chastise Israel for responding to the barbarous, terrorist atrocities committed by Hamas against innocent Israeli civilians (and others) when they attacked Israel on October 7th and caused a new war.
Ask yourself a simple question, ‘What happens during wars?
Tell yourself the simple answer. ‘Too many innocent people get killed and there is too much destruction of civilian property.
That is what happens in all wars.
It isn’t good. It is reality. Just remember who started it all.
The following 4 paragraphs are the Google FACTUAL response to the question: How many?
How many German civilians were killed by Allied bombing during WW2?
Abstract. This chapter examines the bombing of German and Japanese cities during the Second World War. Between 300,000–600,000 German civilians and over 200,000 Japanese civilians were killed by Allied bombing during the Second World War, most as a result of raids intentionally targeted against civilians themselves.
Afghanistan
As of March 2023, more than 70,000 Afghan and Pakistani civilians are estimated to have died as a direct result of the war. The United States military in 2017 relaxed its rules of engagement for airstrikes in Afghanistan, which resulted in a massive increase in civilian casualties.
IRAQ
No one knows with certainty how many people have been killed and wounded in Iraq since the 2003 United States invasion. However, we know that between 280,771- 315,190 have died from direct war-related violence caused by the U.S., its allies, the Iraqi military and police, and opposition forces from the time of the invasion through March 2023. The violent deaths of Iraqi civilians have occurred through aerial bombing, shelling, gunshots, suicide attacks, and fires started by bombing. Many civilians have also been injured.
How many civilians died in Syria?
From the total estimate of 306,887 civilians killed between 1 March 2011 and 31 March 2021 in Syria due to the conflict, more than half of those deaths, or 163,537, were never documented by any group, according to UN Human Rights.
It isn’t good that so many died. It is not a cause for celebration, it is just the reality of what happens in a war. What everybody needs to remember is – Who caused it, who started it, and who is therefore ultimately responsible for all of the casualties?
And for those who are screaming out for ‘Ceasefires’ who do not understand what Hamas is. History has shown us that during previous hostility ceasefires, Hamas has continued to wage war and fire rockets upon Israel. Those calling for a ceasefire are opponents of Israel, far from supporters of it.
Definition of a Ceasefire:
Opportunity for Hamas to re-group.
Opportunity for Hamas to re-organize.
Opportunity for Hamas to re-arm.
