Barry Werner – The Red-Green Alliance
People suffer during conflicts. Here are a few examples. In Syria, the father and son Assad regimes gassed its citizens in their cities, dropped barrel bombs on them from helicopters, and ethnically cleansed and displaced Sunni citizens from Syria to change the country’s demographic balance. Radical Islamists perpetrated similarly horrible human suffering in Yemen, Sudan, Nigeria, etc.
Comparatively, the suffering that the Palestinians experience at the hands of Israelis, although real, is relatively minor. And Israel is the only country that tries, with real success, to alleviate the suffering of the hostile populations under its control. And the Palestinian leadership is responsible for the suffering of the Palestinian people by provoking Israeli self-defensive reaction to terrorism and refusing to enter into a peace agreement that recognizes Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state.
But for many Westerners on the political left, only the suffering of the Palestinians at the hands of Israelis is worth getting upset about, with a critical set of exceptions.
What are the exceptions? What other forms of suffering upsets Western leftists?
Enter the Red-Green Alliance. The color red stands for Marxists; the color green stands for radical Islamists. The Red-Green Alliance binds the Palestinians’ suffering to the suffering of an angry coalition of Western minorities who have agreed to support each other’s claims to victimhood. Palestinian ex-pats and other radical Islamists in the West are in an “intersectional” alliance with these angry groups. The most visible are the radical Black Americans with ideological roots in the racist anti-White, radical Islamist, Marxist organization called the Nation of Islam. They claim that because there is a history of Black American suffering at White Americans’ hands, there must therefore be rioting and looting in American cities. The other visible members of the Red-Green Alliance are radical feminists and the radical LGBTQ+ community. All the members of the Red-Green Alliance have agreed to support each other’s grievances. In particular, they claim that if you are offended by the suffering of Black Americans, or Female Americans, or LGBTQ+ Americans, you should also support the Palestinians’ grievances against Israel.
The least visible member of the Red-Green Alliance is the Marxists. Their “black shirt” street thugs, the Antifa, coincidentally, dress in black. They are practically invisible to those who get their news exclusively from the mainstream media. Socialism is a uniting feature of the Red-Green Alliance because all the angry minority groups hope to use the state’s coercive power to further their interests. Since they all believe that their particular cause is “good,” they think that all the rest of society should be coerced into supporting them. For the Marxists, the Red-Green Alliance is a weapon with which to bring down the capitalist system. They argue that if there exists oppression of any sort, it has to be systemic, and if it’s systemic, they have to destroy the system.
Westerners are told that to be good, they must support the Red-Green Alliance in all its parts. But the Red-Green Alliance is far from good itself.
The Red-Green Alliance claims to be the defender of human rights, but they support every radical Islamist cause. For example, they support lifting sanctions on selling weapons to and purchasing weapons from Iran.
The Red-Green Alliance claims to be just against Israel, not against Jews, but it promotes antisemitism. They imply that every Jew is potentially a Zionist. They mean that every Jew is also potentially a colonialist, a slaveholder, a misogynist, and a homophobe. Unless Jews loudly and unequivocally support the Red-Green Alliance in all its forms, the Red-Green Alliance claims that Jews are all those evil things.
The Red-Green Alliance is racist. Why isn’t there sympathy for the Jews since they suffered discrimination in the West along with the Blacks? The Red-Green Alliance claims that Jews have become White since then and that being White makes a person evil.
But worst of all, the Red-Green Alliance has insinuated itself into Western society.
