A delegation of French Muslim leaders is currently touring Israel. On Tuesday, the group of imams was in Jerusalem and visited the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum. The delegation also went to the cemetery in Givat Shaul to visit the graves of the victims of the March terrorist attack at a Jewish school in the French city of Toulouse.
Other Jerusalem sites visited by the imams included Hebrew University, the Foreign Ministry building and City Hall.
The group was expected to visit Haifa and Acre on Wednesday. On Thursday, the Muslim leaders will meet with President Shimon Peres and French Ambassador to Israel Christophe Bigot.
The delegation’s visit is being facilitated by the French Institute in Israel and the French Embassy.
