As I watch and listen to media outlets around the world the only conclusion once again is that the facts and the truth about the War in Lebanon is not the real issue. It appears that the demonizing of Israel/Jews continues to fill the air ways from the BBC, Sky News and CNN International with one-sided and distorted reporting. In fact, it has been reported that a CNN reporter complained about how he is unable to report the truth since Hezbollah is calling all the shots regarding where and what to see in the south of the country. None of this is made clear by the media. Camera shots using close ups of buildings gives one a sense that the entire area is devastated, when in fact it is just a few buildings. But then again why am I so surprised at the press since it usually reflects the population it is reporting to. I am not saying that all non-Jews support this blatant anti-Semitic reporting but the silence is deafening from those opposed to this immoral and corrupt bunch of liars in a profession that pats itself on the back for being the guardians of free speech. As BBC and other news services have become the propaganda tool for Hezbullah, cartoons resurface, throughout the world press picturing Israelis looking like Nazis. Can you even imagine if Moslems were being depicted? Not only would the papers be afraid to publish the cartoons, but a global uproar would be the response. But silence once again. This is the reason there is a state of Israel. It is our place on this earth. We have been living here for quite a long time in spite of what some may like you to believe. We have taken a barren land and have made it an oasis. We have provided the world with technological innovations that save lives and provide answers to global concerns. We help and provide our expertise to anyone and any country that is receptive. We want to ease the pain and suffering in the world. It is in our blood. It can be found in our Holy Books (Torah) and mystical teachings. When we are forced to react to blatant aggression that threatens our survival then we must react with all the force that we have available and respond to that source of evil. Yes, evil. Let us call it what it is. Golda Meir once said that we can forgive our enemies for killing our children, but we can’t forgive them for forcing us to kill theirs. The world is at a cross roads and it can choose to go down the path of global destruction by allowing Muslim extremists to destroy this planet, or the world can muster the courage to fight for a free world that respects the planet and supports the right of all individuals to live in peace.
We Shall Overcome
