Steve Ornstein – A Visit to the Bedouin Village of Khawaled
This past Tuesday we, (my brother Bruce visiting from the States and my friend and Israelseen contributor Howard Epstein) had the pleasure of visiting my dear friend Ishmael Khaldi and his family at his village Khawaled in the Galil (Galilee). Ishmael was the first Bedouin to work for the Israeli foreign service in a consular capacity.
Hopefully, soon the village will have a tourist center and attract both Israelis and tourists alike to this wonderful center of hospitality and devotion to the State. Enjoy the photos.
