Smart Assistant for Smart Cities In Israel

Smartness is the virtue of human excellence. There is a lot of smartness slowly coming in a lot of things around us. Right from smart cities like Israel, where government is continuously making efforts to make the cities as smart as possible to the tech in small things all around us. In the era where smartphones are getting smarter and more efficient. It makes sense for the phones to become more efficient by making things work together in tandem.
A smart assistant is an efficient way to get a lot of things done which is something that makes the humans more productive. A smart assistant is very helpful in things like messaging someone maybe when you are in a hurry or simply asking it to tell us the weather for today. The best part about assistants is that they can be used for infinites number of different possibilities. Smart assistants can do a lot of things like you can simply ask it to set a reminder for a call or just find the best hotels around. There are a lot of things that it can do. A smart assistant’s potential can be unearthed only once you start fiddling with the smart assistant.
Israel is known as an innovation hub, a place where lot of new things are always made. It is a place where innovation has been thriving since last few years. It makes sense to make use of smart assistant at as many places as possible. Women can make use of it to automate their tasks, kids can use it to quickly calculate things and old people can use it to know directions. When we talk about a smart assistant, it is something that works pretty much like a virtual robot that can get a lot of things done. A smart assistant’s usage is limited to your imagination.
Using them is very easy in all the smartphone devices.For instance when you are using a Apple’s device like the homepod or any of the apple’s device. As a user you will have to just long press the home button and it will activate Siri. Once done, the user just has to utter a command that can be a query or a statement. So the moment the query is executed, it is then redirected back to the user. One of the important aspect about smart assistant is the internet connection over which it is working. If you internet connection is not good then you may find there is a lag in the response. .
The working of a smart assistant is pretty amazing. It may be complex in the backend but to everyone of us it looks very simple. The working mechanism for all three assistants is similar. The difference only comes in the different protocols and data privacy intricacies.When we trigger the assistant by calling it with its name then the request which is statement is packaged and dissected in small parts and sent to the servers owned by the company of your respective device. Once the words arrive, the words and tone are analyzed by an algorithm. They are then matched with a command as per what you asked. A statement can be anything like a statement or a query. Now it all depends upon the algorithm. It is analyzing the questions and will figure out if it can handle the command without needing the information from the server.
The infographic is a great example of how a smart assistant works. Example: “Can you pause the music”. If you want the assistant to translate the sentence to some other language. The process gets even more complicated. If the request is more complicated than the local command, your device will communicate back to the server and continue cross checking the question to make sure it knows what you are asking. Once the request is answered then once if you ask the assistant for question, it will figure out the answer from the web and give you back the response. Same goes with Amazon Echo. You may ask the assistant to turn on the smart lights, once signal is given. A signal will be sent to them via wi-fi, this will turn it on.

The very first query is regarding the insult about the Bot’s gender behaviour. You can see how the google assistant doesn’t understand the context in the first go. Amazon’s Alexa on the other hand is very similar. On the contrary, Apple Siri has a very positive response. When the three assistants are insulted about their gender. Amazon alexa takes it as a negative response. Today we all have different purposes when it comes to using the smart assistants.
