Refugees in Iceland. Many Palestinians living in Iraq were forced to flee to refugee camps after the U.S.-led invasion in 2003. They still live in desperate conditions on the Iraq-Syrian border, unable to return to Baghdad or flee to neighbouring countries. Some, however, have found asylum elsewhere in countries far from home indeed, as far as Iceland.
