One Family – We Remember the Lives Lost  to Terror

As we look back at the year that’s passed, the waves of hate and terror took many lives, wounded many more and took a heavy toll on the people’s feeling of comfort and personal security. The waves of terror show no signs of ending. Just last week, six more people were injured, including a border police officer who remains in intensive care.

Please remember those who lost their lives to terror since last Rosh HaShana – and the empty chair at their holiday tables, of a beloved son who is no more, a witty daughter, a father who was the pillar of strength or a mother who used to huddle all of her children together under her wings of love. That empty chair is nothing compared to the punctured hole in the hearts of everyone they left behind.

Many families have been thrust into financial hardship by the deadly consequence of terror. All of the survivors carry the wounds of trauma and loss that will last forever.

During the past Jewish year, terrorists carried out 165 stabbings, 107 shootings, 47 car rammings and hundreds of attempts to kill and maim drivers and their families by throwing rocks at their moving vehicles. Some of them hit their targets.

Forty four human beings, G-d’s creations, have been killed since last Rosh Hashana. More than 558 have been wounded.

One hundred fifty two new families, because they were Jews living in the land of their forefathers, were brought into OneFamily’s care.

OneFamily provides each individual with personally tailored offering of medical and emotional care, financial and legal assistance, valuable support groups and many healing and therapeutic activities, camps, retreats, sports training, video therapy and more, that move each individual, of every age, each at their own pace, to become resilient and productive citizens of Israel, once again.

Please donate to OneFamily to ensure that we can meet the needs of all of Israel’s victims of terror. Please remember this past year’s families, whose future was shattered in a violent fraction of a second, as well as the thousands of other Israeli families who have been struck by terror in years past.

As always, we pray that Israel, and the world, will welcome in a new year of peace, where no man will lift a sword against another, in senseless acts of hate and terror.

May the next year bring an end to the emotional pain and suffering. May it be a year of healing, for all of the people of Israel and the world.

OneFamily is there for all victims of terror in Israel, and we will remain a part of their lives for as long as they need us.

We need your critical support at this time, to fulfill our mission.

Sincerely,

Marc Belzberg

Chairman, OneFamily
