Min. of Finance Creates Buyer’s Fixed Plan Helping Purchase of the first home in Israel
The Mechir Lamishtaken (also known as Buyer Fixed Plan) program was created by the Ministry of Finance to help those with the purchase of the first home in Israel. People enter into lotteries in different parts of the country where projects are being built – the lotteries are found on the government’s website. If they win they can buy the home at less than the market price, however, other benefits exist too. Currently the program accounts for 10% of new mortgages being taken right now. However, that number is expected to grow to 20% over the next year.
