Who are the Palestinians? CAN WE PLEASE, just once and for all time agree on who the people called Palestinians really are.
Who are the Palestinians?
Prior to the founding of Israel in 1948 (courtesy of what was once an organization set up to bring world peace – the U.N. – which has since sadly lost its way), the British, who ruled a large section of the land in the middle east, following its defeat of the Ottoman empire in WW1, including what is now called Israel, geographically described anyone living in the area, but predominantly the Jews, as a Palestinian.
Yes, that’s right, the original indigenous people of the area, the Jewish people, Muslim Arabs, both the very small amount who had lived there for centuries (like the Jews) and the larger amount who had come for financial benefit when the Jews started to tame the deserts and swamps and offered gainful employment, Arab Christians, Arab Druze and anyone else who happened to called the area home.
Following Israel’s independence in 1948, most Muslim Arabs living in the area, if asked, would have described themselves as Jordanian, or ethnically Egyptian, of Syrian. None of them, or if we are to be politically correct, very few of them, would identify themselves as a Palestinian. So why, when and where did the change take place? Some time, around the time that the middle-eastern Arabs decided to once again chance their arm at attacking and destroying Israel, in 1967, (and miserably failing once again), a once terrorist named Walid Shoebat said:
“One day during the 1960s I went to bed a Jordanian Muslim, and when I woke up the next morning, I was informed that I was now a Palestinian Muslim, and that I was no longer a Jordanian Muslim.”
In fact, never in recorded history, not once, for any period of time, has there been an Arab state called Palestine. Never! You might even remember the late Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir making the bold political statement: “There is no such thing as a Palestinian people.”

The late, very much unlamented Yasser Arafat, and his inner circle of political leadership cronies, years after Meir had told the truth – said that there is no distinct Palestinian cultural or national identity.

Way back on March 31, 1977, the Dutch newspaper Trouw published aninterview with Palestine Liberation Organization executive committee member Zahir Muhsein. Here’s what he said:
“The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct “Palestinian people” to oppose Zionism”.
In fact, on the same day Arafat signed the Declaration of Principles on the White House lawn in 1993, he explained his actions on Jordan TV. Here’s what he said:“Since we cannot defeat Israel in war, we do this in stages. We take any and every territory that we can of Palestine, and establish a sovereignty there, and we use it as a springboard to take more. When the time comes, we can get the Arab nations to join us for the final blow against Israel.”
As recently as 2012 Hamas leader admits, “There is no such thing as a ‘Palestinian’ people
Hamas interior minister, Fathi Hamad, tells Egyptian TV: “Half of Palestinians came from Egypt and the other half came from Saudi Arabia,” just as Newt Gingrich said, Palestinians are an ‘invented’ people.

O.K., so now we know, there is no such thing as a Palestinian.
There could have been – easily. Since 1948 Israel has many times offered peace terms and territory to create a Palestinian Arab State. Why has it never happened? It is solely because Arab Muslims cannot bear the thought of a Jewish state continuing to exist alongside it.
The one main reason that there is not a Palestinian Arab state in the Middle East today is the Arab Muslim intransigence, Arab Muslim refusal to live alongside and recognize a Jewish state, and its inbred, continued hatred of Jews – everywhere.
Unfortunately that is why there is no peace now, and never will be, not until the Arab world accepts the right of the Jews to live in Peace, and accepts the right of the Jewish state, Israel, to exist.
THERE ARE NONE SO BLIND AS THOSE THAT REFUSE TO SEE.
