Such were the words that resounded throughout the world as the French Revolution enveloped Western Europe. It was from France that democracy was exported to the close and far reaches of the west.
And France has gloried in this role and reputation: The Father/Mother of Western Democracy.l
Now the parents of democracy are under attack.
–Under attack by the contemporary enemy of democracy.
–An enemy which wishes to destroy the very tenants of French and Western Emancipation and to impose religious Islamic control on all of western society. Sharia law in their mind is destined to replace western democratic institutions.
–Liberty only for for the believers in Islam.
–Egalitarianism only for the male in this new world of theirs.
–Fraternity of those who bow in worship in the mosque and who are ready to “submit” to murder and beheading for their faith.
And France finally awoke when the verbal attack became a reality in Paris. “We must destroy our enemy and preserve our way.” France is at war” declared Hollande.
And Indeed France is at war with the Islamic State. It is supported by a coalition which is willing to defend democracy against Islamic attempts at hegemony over the Western world.
France bombs without regard against its enemy. Together with its loose international coalition, they are attempting to defeat the enemy of France and it’s values. Innocents are unfortunately killed in this “kulturkamph” without regard. This is the legitimate result of war against the French Republic. Hundreds of, if not thousands of innocent Moslem and Christians have been killed in this war against the evil Islamic State (Isis) enemy of France and western democracy.
But why not stop this killing spree? Why not call for peace talks between France and Isis and the coalition. Immediately! After all, both sides have their equal claims: Isis and France.
Let’s demand of both sides to sit down to negotiate. Isis must compromise its goal to destroy western values and culture and the imposition of Islamic law in all the world and France will need to compromise it’s democratic western values of Liberte’, Egalite’ and Fraternite’.
Thus must happen immediately and France must initiate this.
If not, France must be criticized and rejected in the United Nations and Isis must be supported as a member State in the U.N. All of the western world must condemn France until it compromises its national values and accepts the reasonable demands of Isis —a semi democratic Islamic Sharia country with a wider eye split in the women’s “hijab”
Or am I missing something ?
BTW has anyone noticed why so many French Jews are immigrating to Israel? Is it because of Isis or perhaps because of classical and increased French anti semitism?
