Jack Cohen – Popular Opinion is Anti-Semitic
A march against racism in Paris on Saturday at the Place de la Republique turned not only violent but anti-Semitic. The crowd was shouting anti-Semitic slogans, “Kill the Jews” and “Israel trains the police.” It is not only irony that people who consider themselves anti-racist can be so racist themselves, but it is a tradition in Europe that popular movements become anti-Semitic. It is not only coincidence that Theodor Herzl was influenced to become a Zionist when he attended the Dreyfus case in Paris in 1894 as a reporter and heard the Paris mob shouting “Kill the Jews.”
This tendency for popular movements to become anti-Semitic is embedded deeply in European civilization. Many people don’t know that the common phrase “Hip-Hip-Hooray” was shouted by German students when they carried out anti-Jewish marches and attacks during the 19th century and was repeated by the Nazis (https://www.jta.org/jewniverse/2014/the-anti-semitic-origins-of-hip-hip-hooray). Whenever the Jews moved into an area of Europe they were initially given the protection of the King or ruler. When the region eventually became democratic, that protection was removed and the mobs attacked the Jews, in Russia they were called pogroms.
Now in Europe and the US, the leftist movements are infiltrated by Islamists and pro-Palestinians, who take every opportunity to wave Palestinian flags at every event, including the anti-police-violence demonstrations against the murder of George Floyd. That these demonstrations often become violent, with looting of stores and burning of police cars, is not only the righteous anger of blacks, but also the irrational targeting of Jewish stores and synagogues by groups such as Black Lives Matter and Antifa, who are institutionally anti-Semitic.
It is completely false that Israel has anything to do with police violence in the US or Europe, but facts don’t matter to these ignorant and violent people. For example, a leftist rioter daubed paint on the statue of Winston Churchill in London. What he doesn’t know is that if it hadn’t been for Churchill the Nazis might have won WWII, and there would be no leftist demonstrations then.
