My daily practice of meditation and prayer creates a deep inner sense of the presence of Now. This is a place of self-respect and responsibility. During these sessions thoughts and emotions wash over me, often avoided in the daily routine of my life. After my early morning exercise of the soul and body I see my wife, Liz.
We hug long and silent and the world appears good. Being together, all fears, disappointments, shortcomings fall away in the silence of shared beings.
A deep breath – A relief – An amazement – All is Okay!
My life/soul connected to a source of “oneness” that I really don’t understand but have been blessed to experience in the most profound ways.
2013 has blessed us with more grandchildren. Being a grandpa (Saba) took me some time to appreciate. Now a deep understanding and the awesome responsibility of being there unconditionally for these souls is a prayer in itself of Thanksgiving.
2013 has been another year of a deep love relationship with Judaism, our Country and its People. I Love Being Here! Living in the rhythms of Jewish time suits my being.
A recent visitor from Europe asked me why I prefer to live in Israel. I took a deep breath and without thought, three words fell from my lips: I AM HOME. It is a wonderful and deep feeling that defies logic. This is a vibrant, dynamic and creative country where family and friends are highly valued.
Criticism is part of the public sport. Any honest criticism from outside the country pales alongside our self-criticism.
2014 has arrived and I thank HaShem (The Name, Source) for this blessed Life. I am so grateful for my family and friends who have filled me with so much Love. To everyone reading this blog only blessings for a better year with peace, health and love to all.
