IDF Task Force Takes On COVID-19 & Commanding: Behind the Scenes
The IDF has just established a new Coronavirus Task Force in an effort to centralize the national effort against COVID-19 and stop the spread of the virus. The task force will be led by the IDF Home Front Command and other units in the IDF, alongside the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Health, and various Israeli security forces and local authorities. The IDF will continue to combat COVID-19 and assist civilians as necessary for as long as required.
IDF Commanding 101: Behind The Scenes
Lt. Col. Ido Sa’ad, the Commanding Officer of the Brigade Training Base for the Border Defense Forces, shows you how he trains his soldiers to be prepared to defend Israel and its borders. The IDF Border Defense Forces is a coed corps under the Central and Southern Command made up of four infantry battalions: Bardelas Battalion, Caracal Battalion, Lion of the Valley Battalion, and Lions of the Jordan Valley Battalion. The corps is responsible for guarding Israel’s borders with Egypt and Jordan, as well as responding to security issues across Israel and the West Bank.
