Forbes announced today its first Under 30 Summit EMEA, (Europe, the Middle East and Africa), taking place in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. It will to bring together 600 young entrepreneurs and game changers from across the world: 200 from Europe, 200 from the U.S. and 200 from Israel.
Building on the success of its two Under 30 Summits held in Philadelphia, the Under 30 Summit EMEA will take place April 3-6, 2016 in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, and will feature a full agenda of panels, innovative presentations, keynotes, pitch competitions and mentorship from successful business and governmental leaders. In addition, the summit will provide rich cultural immersion opportunities and a rare international networking environment for young entrepreneurs.
The event will kick off the evening of April 3 with an opening reception in Tel Aviv, followed by a full day of programming and evening social activities. The summit’s pitch competition will include a global social impact competition for entrepreneurs under the age of 30 to advance solutions that address global challenges, as well as programming to foster Israeli and Palestinian entrepreneurial cooperation.
“We look forward to bringing our successful Under 30 Summit to the EMEA region, and there is no better place than Start-up Nation, where innovation is at the core of everything that is going on,” said Randall Lane, editor of Forbes magazine.
“Jerusalem is one of the strongest brands in the world with over 3,000 years of investment and today we are emerging as one of the top hubs for innovation and excellence,” said Mayor of Jerusalem Nir Barkat. “As an entrepreneur, I deeply value the importance of bringing creative minds together and as Mayor of Jerusalem, I am honored to be hosting the Forbes Under 30 Summit in Jerusalem and look forward to welcoming the world’s most innovative entrepreneurs to our city.”
In January of 2016, Forbes will launch its first ever 30 Under 30 Europe list, which will feature 30 game-changing entrepreneurs from Europe who are under 30, in 20 fields, 600 millennials total, as judged by some of the most accomplished and acclaimed individuals in each category. The 30 Under 30 Europe list members will be included in the Forbes Under 30 app when the list launches.
