Despite that pogrom in Paris, when hundreds of Jews were trapped in a synagogue as a mob threw stones and bricks at the building, shouting “Hitler was right!” And despite the firebombing of another synagogue in Paris. And despite that rally in Paris, where people shouted “Death to the Jews!” and “Slaughter the Jews!” And despite the fact that people are planning to “smash the Jews” at a rally planned for this weekend.
Despite that protest in London, when a Jewish lady was assaulted on Oxford Street by a mob shouting, “Jew!” And despite that swastika daubed on a house in Hendon. And despite the fact that anti-Semitic incidents in the UK this month are twice the ‘expected’ level.
Despite that incident in Manchester, when “Heil Hitler!” was shouted at Jews in the street and garbage was thrown at them too. And despite the fact that Hitler memes have been popping up on the Facebook page of an anti-Israel rally outside the BBC.
Despite that Facebook post in South Africa by an ANC social media manager, of a picture of Hitler with the caption: “I could have killed all the Jews, but I left some of them to let you know why I was killing them.”
Despite that demonstration in Boston, when a protestor said the “Jews will go to hell” when Palestine ‘reclaims’ Jerusalem, and when Jews were called ‘Jesus killers‘.
Despite that incident in Iceland, when a caravan-rental company that called its low-rate period ‘Jew season’ refused to rent to Israelis.
Despite those tweets in Turkey, by a popular pop artist, praising Hitler and claiming that: “If God allows, it will be again Muslims who will bring the end of those Jews, it is near, near.”
Despite that rally in Melbourne, with the flags superimposing swastikas over Stars of David (among the sea of ISIS flags). And despite that lynching of a Jew in that city by thugs shouting, “Jewish dog!”
Despite that rally in Antwerp, where protestors chanted, “Jews, remember Khaybar, the army of Muhammad is returning!” And despite that pro-ISIS rally in The Hague, where protestors also shouted the same thing. And despite the fact that a Jewish woman was refused service in a shop in Antwerp “out of protest”.
Despite those swastikas at the University of Oregon, painted on the mailbox of a Jewish fraternity house.
Despite that demonstration in Seattle, where protestors held up a cartoon of a Jew eating a baby with a cup of blood on the side.
Despite that rally in Frankfurt by neo-Nazis and Islamists, with the placards reading “You Jews are Beasts”.
Despite the fact that ‘#HitlerWasRight’ and ‘#IfHitlerWasAlive‘ have been doing the rounds on Twitter.

These are isolated incidents. It’s only a small minority. It’s not like this happened on the streets of major Western capitals every Western city. It’s not like this activity peaks every time Israel is at war happens literally all the time. It’s not like all of this happened in the last week alone in one day. It’s not like one per cent of all French Jews are moving to Israel this year, preferring to take their chances with the rockets than the mobs on the streets.
Give me a break. We may be sneaky, evil, vengeful, conniving, child-killing, baby-eating genocidal Hitler wannabes – but we’re not stupid.
