Susan R. Eisenstein: Itamar Hayun: Elite Combat Soldier, Author, Social Entrepreneur
32-year-old Itamar Hayun was born in Haifa, Israel and now lives in Moshav Avihayil in the Hefer Valley. Itamar follows many successful paths in his life. He is an elite active combat reservist, Givati Brigade, an author, podcaster, social entrepreneur, business consultant, and strategist. And through hundreds of days of service in the Swords of Iron War and profound personal and family challenges, he has developed a unique life approach, integrating mental resilience, national vision, and a passion for creation and entrepreneurship.
“I am an Israeli entrepreneur, combat reservist, and author, and my story lives at the intersection of action, responsibility, and purpose,” Hayun said.. For years, I served in elite combat roles, including intensive reserve duty during some of the most difficult and defining periods in Israel’s recent history. That service did more than shape me as a soldier; it shaped the way I think, act, and lead. In the field. I learned how to make decisions under pressure, take responsibility for others, and operate even when there is no certainty or perfect solution.”
Over time, Hayun came to realize that the principles that he was learning and experiencing were not limited just to the battlefield. He says,”they are deeply relevant to everyday life, leadership, and entrepreneurship. My entrepreneurial path did not begin with a dream of building a startup, but with a need to take complex, often painful realities and turn them into something structured, stable, and meaningful.”
Itamar Hayun is the author of four books, which include, “Mindset of Champions,” “Building a Business with Ease,” “The PodcvastBook Method,” and his current fourth book, “The Elite Warrior Mindset.” The English edition of “The Elite Warrior Mindset,” was just published in December 2025 and is currently available on Amazon. “The book explores how warriors think and act in life itself, not only in combat. It addresses fear, responsibility, failure, and the long-term work of building inner strength. At its core, the book translates the mindset of elite combat into a practical framework for civilian life, business, and leadership,” Itamar said.
Itamar’s choice to become an author and also to become involved in educational entrepreneurship came from the same place as his principles and battlefield experiences did. Over the years, he has developed courses, workshops, and personal growth processes designed to strengthen mental resilience, clarity, and decision-making. “These are not theoretical programs, but practical tools drawn from real-life experience working with entrepreneurs, business owners, and combat reservists navigating pressure, fear, and uncertainty. Alongside this work, I host a podcast with over 100 episodes, where I speak with entrepreneurs, educators, and creators who carry depth and substance. I am less interested in titles and fame, and more focused on people with real stories, real struggles, and insights that can genuinely help others,” Itamar Hayun told Seen Israel.
And Itamar Hayun is also the founder of the social, national movement, Homes For Warriors. “From a deeply personal moment after returning from reserve duty, the initiative Homes for Warriors was born,” Itamar Hayun explains. “Coming home, I realized that many of the soldiers who are willing to risk their lives for Israel struggle to secure basic stability housing, community, and a sense of long-term security for their families. That realization became action. Homes for Warriors works to create real, scalable solutions for housing, community, and future stability for combat reservists and their families, rooted in the belief that this is not only a personal issue, but a national responsibility.
Looking to the future, Hayun’s path continues along the three connected tracks that he is so dedicated to, continuing to serve as a combat reservist, expanding his writing and educational work internationally, and growing Homes for Warriors into a national—and ultimately global—model for resilience, community building, and long-term impact. “For me,” he says, “these are not separate worlds, but one continuous story of responsibility, service, and building a stronger future for the next generation.”
