It usually happens like this: I sit down, explain a bit about my
research, and start asking questions. But when I first met Avshalom
Pollak, he started asking me questions! I wasn’t entirely
surprised; after all, Avshalom and his partner, Inbal Pinto, have two
of the most inquisitive and inventive minds in contemporary dance.
Shown on many stages in Israel and across the globe this year, the
Inbal Pinto Dance Company’s productions of Oyster, Shaker, and
Hydra transport audiences to magical worlds that delight with
fantastic characters, luscious movement, and imaginative sets,
costumes, and stagecraft. Join us as Inbal and Avshalom talk about
their pathways to dance, their travels around the world, and their
creative explorations of the mind.
