Response to Steve Emerson’s recent article about Media Bias of Israel-Palestinian conflict coverage. Daniel Falk. April 5, 2016.
Meet the “real” Arabs who call themselves Palestinians, and the left wing-driven US media outlets and readers that support them.
I’ve been criticized for calling Palestinians and other neighboring Arab and Muslim societies “primitive”. And certainly, as this article demonstrates, mostly by those that are blindly aligned with the left wing biases of the NY Times and Washington Post, the real activities of the Palestinians within a mostly hate-filled socio-political context are not being truthfully covered by these US left wing media giants.
This irresponsible narrative against Israel is just a carryover from anti-Semitic habits, that are unfortunately pervasive globally. I wish the best for people’s who are clearly suffering, to develop their societies without negative motivation against others, especially not such a small group of 6 million Israelis and 12 million other Jews in the world.
But Palestinians and other Israel haters are not suffering from Israel. They suffer from their own neurological diseases of hatred, deeply rooted in their own social development, and somehow, left wing media outlets have enough customers who want to buy this ugly and illogical narrative and don’t demand a deeper effort to reveal the actions made by these kill-switch societies determined to continue their negative identities, defined as hating Israel and only wanting to destroy Jews.
Perhaps there is a minority that will continue to grow within these nasty realms of hatred to eventually take responsibility for their own actions and develop themselves through positive goals and methods. Imagine if they got what they say they want, Israel being eliminated, all other world Jewry neutralized, then who could their leaders blame for the travesties their societies are, with no human rights, very little democratic rule of law, and almost complete suppression of woman’s and minority rights, indoctrinating their youth into a maniacal Jew-hatred.
How can we as Jews help steer all the political, and supposedly “good-will” efforts to make peace between the Israelis and Palestinians to instead focus more immediately on root causes of Islamic anti-Semitism, and other forms of anti-Semitism? The answer is: that’s very difficult for gentiles that have been indoctrinated as anti-Semites to do.
Breaking up one’s identity is tough stuff, and often doesn’t happen after one’s character traits are cemented during their youth. This may be why we see such a constant effort to push little Israel into making concessions for peace, while not in any reach of imagination requiring the same from the Palestinians or other anti-Israel countries.
The Obama administration’s Iran deal is a good example of this phenomena. It’s sad to see this drama against Jews, and now Israel, being played out over and over again throughout history, from a perspective of being a Jew, a true minority. A minority that’s scraped and fought miraculously to survive, while retaining its positive core values, and develop a world class nation of Israel that is on a daily basis contributing to improving the world through a wide range of inventions and advancements in almost every field imaginable.
I extend my hand in peace as 90% of Israelis and Jews do to their killers throughout history, because I value human life and aim to share those values with others, and choose to forgive ones immature actions. And I’m proud that Israel is making a stand against irrational violence against it without sacrificing its core values. It’s leaders make no calls of “death to Palestinians”, but Palestinian leaders convey “death to Israelis” every day, and worse are systematically teaching their people to hate and kill, thus devaluing the lives of Jews.
And yet, Israel never refuses a wounded Palestinian from its hospitals, nor Syrian soldier inured from the horrors of Assad’s tortures against his own people. I won’t teach my children to hate, and I have never advocated that towards the Palestinians or anyone who has committed themselves to hate and kill Jews and Israelis. I could, but I enjoy the side of wisdom in life that allows me to criticize rather than hate, to sound an alarm rather than immediately leap to destruction of “other”. And I will always advocate that Jews protect themselves since I see how determined the forces of hate against us are.
