This gifted international artist works in glass and has created a special exhibit for the Litvak Gallery in Tel Aviv. Born in 1941 in Tacoma, Washington, Dale Chihuly was introduced to glass while studying interior design at the University of Washington. After Graduating in 1965, Chihuly enrolled in the first glass program in the country at the University of Wisconsin. He continued his studies at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), where he later established the school’s renowned glass program and taught for over a decade.
In 1999 he mounted one of his most challenging exhibitions, Chihuly in the Light of Jerusalem 2000; more then one million visitors came tothe Tower of David Museum in Jerusalem’s Old City to view the installation.
The Litvak Gallery in Tel Aviv presents a solo exhibition of artist Dale Chihuly. “Chihuly at Litvak” focuses on exploring a broad spectrum of Chihuly’s series, ranging from tabletop works to monumental, site-specific installations.
