Israeli Singer Liel Kolet Very Talented International Success

20-year-old international artist, song-writer and peace symbol – LIEL – began her professional career at the age of 12 when she won the prestigious European talent contest – Bravo Bravissimo. Liel’s exceptional voice along with her genuinely sweet personality and angelic beauty has captivated audiences all around the world.

Since the age of 13, Liel has performed and raised money for many organizations including: UNESCO, UNISEF, United Nations, the EU, Vizo, The International Cancer Foundation, Kids Rights, Seeds of Peace, Save a Child’s heart and Children of Peace. At the age of 14, during her performance at an international event, Liel spontaneously invited President Bill Clinton to join her on stage as they were surrounded by 40 Arab and 40 Jewish children. CNN/International broadcasted President Clinton and Liel singing together one of history’s most important songs about peace – John Lennon’s “Imagine”. Their impromptu duet instigated a firestorm of publicity and she became a “highly sought after personality” for royal events, peace concerts, and charities throughout the world. President Clinton later invited Liel to perform in Los Angeles, as well as to sing the Canadian Anthem at a tribute event for Nelson Mandela. One of her biggest fans is Former U.S.S.R. President Mikail Gurbatchov and the German President – Horst Kohler, who has also sung with Liel! He joined her during a concert in Berlin to sing the peace classic “We Are The World”. At the age of 15, Liel launched her career in Germany, a critical market for musicians, where she is today considered a star. She received Germany`s prestigious “Radio Award” for being an artist who promotes peace and charitable works. She has recorded three duets with legendary German rock band “The Scorpions” and has appeared on the biggest German TV shows (RTL, Sat 1, ARD, SF TV). Germany’s leading publication – Bild- crowned Liel: “The next Celine Dion.”

In 2006, at the age of 16, Liel represented Switzerland at “Eurovision” with yet another song about peace. She toured Mexico to promote the release of her album which includes songs in Spanish – a blend of pop songs and ballads wrapped in ethnic flavors – “west meets middle east.” Leading into the release of her “Unison” album, Liel appeared in the historical “Live Aid Concert” (Mexico). In November 2006, Liel performed in Toronto to raise money for heart operations for children from poor countries, followed by another performance in Los Angeles, raising money for Lebanese and Israeli children who have been affected by war. Due to her unique talent, Liel has already performed with such superstars as Bono, Elton John, Bryan Adams, Westlife, Andrea Bocelli, Jose Carreras, Scorpions and has even sung with Richard Gere during a peace summit! Today at 20, kibbutz-born Liel has risen from her humble roots to become known as her generation’s symbol of peace. Liel’s heritage is Israeli and Indian, she herself grew up in one of the most war-torn parts of the world. Her childhood has shaped her morality. It has also instilled a burning desire to spread the message of peace through her music. She has been named as the official ambassador for The Peres center for peace, and for two international peace organizations in the United States and United Kingdom, as well as for Sheba Medical center. In December 2007, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert nominated Liel as the official ambassador for the North of Israel.

On July 7th 2007 she performed with the legendary musician Herbie Hancock, who played the piano during her concert in Monte Carlo. On June 2008 she collaborated with the Diva Patti Labelle, recorded the song “For the love of God” and in November 2008 Liel recorded a duet with Andrea Bocelli, a song entitled “Ray of Hope” which was written by President Shimon Peres and composed by her.
To date, Liel has performed in more than 500 concerts around the world and has raised millions for children in need. Presently she is conquering North America; Liel appeared on Fox News, where Geraldo Rivera presented her as a role-model to the young generation. She performed at the Jerry Lewis Telethon (Labor Day weekend) and she is currently collaborating with legendary song writers Diane Warren. Her new album is planed to be reased in February 2009.
