Open Letter to Iran’s President Ahmedinejad. Sir, you were recorded as shouting toward Israel from a place in Southern Lebanon that “Zionists should go back where they came from”.
Well, Mr. President, that is indeed going on for the last 150 years or so: The early Zionists returning to where they came from, established then — with the consent of the Muslim-Turkish Empire — settlements like Rishon le’Zion; et al. And that process of return to the Old/New/Land is going on since then.
Mr. President, probably you did not mean that in the speech quoted but apparently the God of our common ancestor Abraham – Allah, in your language – turned your tongue to utter those words. Please, have a closer look into your Holy Book the Qur’an; and find therein confirmed the return of the People of Israel to its home country (Sura “Bani Israel”, 105ff; et al).
