Female Palestinian Physicians in Israel- Specializing and Excelling in their fields at Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center
Three female Palestinian physicians joined the medical staff at the Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center through coordination with the Civil Administration, this was done in order to expand professional horizons and to promote coexistence with one main objective—treating patients.
Three female Palestinian physicians joined the medical staff at the Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center, joining the dozens of Palestinians physicians and medical professionals who work in Israel on a daily basis with special licenses. These licenses allow the physicians to drive to their workplace with ease to fulfill their important humanitarian mission.
The Civil Administration participates in partially financing the training of female physicians, some of whom finished Hebrew courses in order to easily integrate into their new workplaces and to give them the opportunity to communicate more easily with their colleagues, their patients and their environment.
The Civil Administration’s Health Coordinator, Dalia Bassa, plays an important role in coordinating the physician’s’ training and involvement within Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center. This medical center excels in innovative technology and advanced medical techniques which helps train and educate physicians in all fields of medicine. The hospital is heading a new method in internships and training for physicians which equips them with the skills to achieve an advanced level of knowledge and training. Upon completion of their training, these excellent physicians will then return to their hospitals in Judea and Samaria, bringing their new skills with them.
