Walking one evening on Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv I noticed a series of plastic bottle sculptures on the side of the street. They were fascinating and I made a short video of the exhibit.

By Mel Alexenberg. Moshe Dror was my hevrutah (study partner) since we first began studying together 38 years ago. Moshe’s passing is my great loss. I have never known another person with whom I could share in creatively exploring the dynamic interface between Jewish thought, art, media ecology, futurism, new technologies and human consciousness. Moshe’s interdisciplinary imagination and analytic brilliance always made my studying with him intellectually stimulating and a joyous romp through multiple worlds. His cognitive powers were enriched by his kindness, sensitivity and sense of humor.
On the way to Yafo on the Promenade in Tel Aviv we met some unexpected artists and angels.
This gifted international artist works in glass and has created a special exhibit for the Litvak Gallery in Tel Aviv. Born in 1941 in Tacoma, Washington, Dale Chihuly was introduced to glass while studying interior design at the University of Washington. After Graduating in 1965, Chihuly enrolled in the first glass program in the country at the University of Wisconsin. He continued his studies at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), where he later established the school’s renowned glass program and taught for over a decade.
This past week we ventured to the art fair near the Shuk (market) in the heart of Tel Aviv and this is what we found. I also have some pictures during our walk by the sea on the way to the fair. Enjoy.
