Its Personal – We Need to Get It Right

Steve Ornstein

By Steve Ornstein. An old friend asked me if he could continue to be a friend on “facebook” with out receiving my posts because they upset him. However, I feel the issues and information that I put up on Israel Seen need to have a voice. We must listen to all sides of the issues no matter how painful or frustrating it may be for us. Jews and Israelis will be making hard decisions that will impact our future in a sea of hostility that will not end any time soon, if ever.

While Fire in Northern Israel Destroys and Kills – Many in the Arab World Celebrate

I often wonder what motivates such hatred of Israel and Jews by many in the Arab world. It has become all to apparent that the hatred of Jews in general and  particularly Jews  living in their homeland is intolerable to them. But from where does this attitude come from? Where are its origins ? Is  this a  culture of extremism ? Does the Koranic teachings encourage this kind of jubilation?

Israeli humorist, Efraim Kishon – The Wacky World of Living in Israel

After my wife and I read this list we couldn’t stop laughing. How true and to the point. To live in Israel is to experience a full life with all the trimmings. I was the Sandak G-dfather Today for my new grandson Michael

Brit Mila

Today all the news in the world just didn’t concern me or the family as my new grandson had his brit mila (circumcision). I normally do not write about personal family events since there is so much going on in Israel that needs a voice that israelseen helps provide. However, I just couldn’t contain my joy at this miracle of being a grandpa or Saba in Hebrew. My friends have told me for a number of years now that this is an amazing experience. Now my wife and I are just beginning to absorb this new opportunity to share ourselves with this new member of the tribe. I can get all high and mighty about how we can help shape this little soul into being a mench but right now I just feel so blessed to hold him and to feel the warmth that surrounds him in a community of love and affection.
