Post revolution Iran’s relations with Syria have grown in strength since 1980. The constant visits by Iranian and Syrian officials between Tehran and Damascus, their shared hostility towards Israel and the U.S. and common interests in Lebanon are the pillars of the strategic relationship which has kept their bilateral relations at a high level.
Ahead of a watershed U.N. vote expected in September on Palestinian statehood, The Israel Project (TIP) is releasing an interactive map, “United Nations General Assembly: Attitudes on Israel/Palestine Interactive Map and Fact Sheets,” detailing U.N. member states key to the outcome of the measure.

In Egypt’s current political upheaval, the radical anti-West, anti-Israel group backs the anti-government demonstrators and said they should be prepared to do away with Israel.
