A Visit to the Herodium and Herod’s Tomb
Enjoy this latest podcast
Interview by Yoram Getzler with Tour guide Shmuel Browns. Herodium is the name of King Herod’s palace/fortress just 12 km. south of Jerusalem. We know about Herodium from the writings of the Jewish historian Josephus who tells us that Herod was buried there. It took archaeologist Ehud Netzer 35 years to find Herod’s tomb.
