The Longshoreman Philosopher Eric Hoffer – The Jews are a peculiar people

In 2000 the Hoover Institution Archives acquired the papers of the American public philosopher Eric Hoffer. The papers fill 75 linear feet of shelf space and contain extensive draft writings and journals by Hoffer, many of them unpublished. They are now open for research. He was a voice in the wilderness and was uncannily prophetic. As the New Year Rosh HaShannah approaches his voice is timeless as the events in Iran turn ugly.
