Obama and Israel; Does He have a Problem? Do We?

Tel Aviv Israel at 62 Festival Rabin Square Pictures

These are today’s pictures from the celebration at Rabin Square this evening. It was exciting as thousands participated. It took place from 9:30PM until midnight. The streets were closed for at least a 1/4 mile in all directions as children played in the streets while the lucky few had seats on the square.

Nuclear Israel Part II

By Yoram Getzler With the intense focus on a nuclearized Middle-East propelled by developments and threats by Iran aimed at Israel, it seems to me that at this point it would be in Israel’s interest to consider foregoing its development, possession and the accompanying defense of nuclear weapons, and close its nuclear weapon facilities. To add too the timing is the recently publicized revelation that our Dimona nuclear facility is, at age forty, in desperate need of an expensive rebuilding project to insure its safety….

In recognition of the reawakening of the issue surrounding the Israeli ambiguity regarding any military nuclear capacity it officially, might or might not possess.
