Barbra Sofer is the recent winner of the Eliav-Sartawi Awards for Middle Eastern Journalism, The award is given annually by Search for Common Ground. for journalism that contributes to better understanding between people.
In the winning article, a religious Jewish woman from Jerusalem describes her experience with her Muslim roommate from Hebron during an interfaith women’s workshop in Jordan.
Ms. Sofer is also the Israel director of Public Relations and Communications for Hadassah in Israel. She also writes a bi-weekly column for the Jerusalem Post and has authored several books.
She shares with us, her honest and refreshing down to earth approach to Arab Israeli relations.
